Mya

Mya Pham is an upcoming strategist and designer who believes in the power of a disruption mindset. She is a senior Advertising student from OCAD University and focused on strategy development during her studying. She is fascinated by the world's diversity of cultures and differences.

During her third year of college, Mya participated in an internship with TBWA Agency as a Strategic Planner. She was chosen out of 200 applicants based on her academic portfolio and application essay. This internship was an incredible learning and working experience that completely changed her working progress and sharpened her analyzing and observation skills.

Mya currently lives in Toronto, Canada finishing her thesis, pursuing opportunities and spending free time vlogging her daily life on her YouTube channel.

Stage names

Even in a multicultural city like Toronto, its system and law have failed to practice recognizing, respecting, and appreciating cultural diversity in terms of name and identity. So it's time to fix this, starting with human interactions in daily life.

"Stage names" is an addition to the Duolingo Language app. The campaign includes a short-term course that is extended from the language course a learner is attending. Duolingo wants to comprehend the project in which people both learn to respect others’ names and their own names too by following the course with a NAME kit that helps reflect on its learners’ self-identity.
